About Field Updates

Field Update is one of the workflow actions available in Bigin. The field updates allow you to update the specific field values in the records automatically when an associated workflow rule is executed. You can configure field update and then associate the field update action to a workflow rule.

Manage Field Updates Section

From the Field Updates section, do the following:

• View the list of field updates.
• Configure a new field update.
• View the summary of a field update.
• Edit or delete a field update.

By default, the Field Updates section displays a list of field updates configured so far.

To configure a new field update, on the top-right corner of the Field Updates section, click the Configure Field Update button. For more information, see Configure a Field Update.

You can view the summary of a field update. To view, from the list of field updates, click the field update. The summary page of selected field update appears with details.

To edit a field update, do one of the following:

• In the Field Updates section, from the list of field updates, hover over the field update you want to edit, and next to the name of the field update, click the more icon, and then click Edit.
• From the summary page of a field update, on the top-right corner, click Edit.

To delete a field update, do one of the following:

• In the Field Updates section, from the list of field updates, hover over the field update you want to delete, and next to the name of the field update, click the more icon, and then click Delete.
• From the summary page of a field update, on the top-right corner, click Delete.

You cannot delete a field update that is associated with a workflow rule. To delete, you must disassociate the field update first and then delete it.
